About Us

Welcome!

Hi there! We are the Curren Family. We traveled full time in our Airstream from 2013-2017 and now split our time between our small condo in Teton Valley, ID and the road.

As avid, outdoor, travel and adventure enthusiasts we are here to provide tips, advice, and inspiration to help you develop healthier and stronger family relationships.

Peanut Butter Oatmeal Power Cookies

These breakfast “cookies” are ridiculously delicious. They’ve turned into one of our go-to hiking snacks as they are easy to stash in a small tupperwear and toss into our pack. They are loaded with Peanut Butter energy goodness, apples, oats, and bananas! I’ve made them both with chocolate chips and without and lately the kids…

  • These look great! I think we are going to try these out this week. Maybe raisins instead of chocolate chips?ReplyCancel

You could definitely try! I believe raisins are an abomination in anything, but we can still be friends. 😉ReplyCancel

Solar Power Upgrade Part 3 – Self Install Running Wire

At the conclusion of Part 2, we had panels mounted on the roof and wired up to the combiner box. We connected the 6 gauge wire to the combiner box and dropped it behind the fridge. The next phase of this project involved running the wire from behind the fridge to the forward compartment. In…

Alright, an update. This really is going to be good series. It is putting everything together, literally and figuratively, I have been reading about for my solar project.

Please, continue with all of the pictures. They’re great.ReplyCancel

Mountain Biking in Horseshoe Canyon – Driggs, Idaho

We have been hanging out at my brother-in-law’s house in Driggs, Idaho for the last week. Sam has some renovations he’s been doing to our battery box (including some welding by said brother-in-law). Between work, Airstream projects, and the rain, we haven’t had many chances to get out and explore and I’ve been going a…

Airstream Kitchen: Corndog Muffins with Vegan Cornbread

Okay, so I know adding a hot dog to a Vegan Cornbread recipe kind of defeats the purpose of the whole vegan thing. Trust me, though, the cornbread recipe is so good I couldn’t imagine using any other one. We’ve made this cornbread recipe plenty of times and even taken it to a full time…

Rock Climbing in Prescott, AZ With Friends

It’s no joke we fell in love with Prescott, AZ (really, we did a pretty awesome April’s Fool Joke) and one of the reasons was the plentiful outdoor recreation opportunities. We were only going to drop into Prescott Valley, spend a night with college friends and then leave, until another full time Airstreamer (whom we met…

We absolutely loved that place. Went on a whim to meet up with some new friends, ended up staying nearly a month. Great pictures!ReplyCancel

  • We’re glad you guys had a fun time! And we enjoyed it as much as you did. I always enjoy sharing cool places with great people. And glad to say, we had a cool place with super cool people!

We’re off to Casa Grande of all places. Yup, I know everyone is driving north out of the heat, and here we are heading into it next week, and will likely be in southern AZ for several weeks! Here I thought we’d be headed north!

Next time we meet up we’ll have to plan a few climbing and biking days! Travel safe!ReplyCancel
