Summer Wrap Up and Fall Plans

After our busy spring schedule, I made the conscious decision to not blog over the summer and it was such a relief! We’ve had a fabulous couple of months back in the Airstream and thoroughly enjoyed spending quite a bit of time with family and friends as we’ve explored.  At some point, I hope to…

9 Family Friendly, Adventure Stops Along the Oregon Coast {Plus a Few Bonus Activities}

For anyone that hears “coast” and immediately dons their swimming trunks, the Oregon Coast may come as a bit of a shock. There are beautiful beaches, but the vibe is definitely more rugged than its southern California counterpart.  Crashing, intense waves, cold water, and wind can make swimming a less than ideal activity, but no…

  • Great blog and post! We got to enjoy some of these places ourselves a couple weeks ago, including the Tillamook Factory. Love the Oregon Coast, can’t wait to explore more some day 🙂ReplyCancel

  • Great article and photos! Plenty to do on the Oregon coast, especially when the weather isn’t rainy. Makes me want to go back again and visit soon 🙂ReplyCancel

An occasional trail sign assured us that we were on the right path. About a mile up the wash, the trail (marked with a sign) led up and to the right. The trail led up and out of the wash, and then wound through some clay hills that reminded me remarkably of the Painted Hills in Oregon. […]ReplyCancel

Crabbing on the Oregon Coast at Kelly’s Brighton Marina

One of our greatest adventures to date was our during our visit to the Oregon Coast fall of 2014. We had heard great things about Kelly’s Brighton Marina and drove down one afternoon to check it out. Unfortunately, it was raining, the tide was high, and the awesome employee suggested we come back the next…

Wandering Update: Hiking at Cascade Head near Lincoln City, Oregon

While we were staying along the Oregon Coast, we managed a hike to the top of Cascade Head near Lincoln City, Oregon. This was probably the one day it didn’t rain in about a week of being there and we took full advantage by getting out and exploring. To find our hike, I basically Googled…
