I desperately needed a break from the cold weather and finagled the whole family into road tripping with us to Goblin Valley State Park over what was definitely NOT Spring Break. Yes, I was that desperate. I haven’t been there since I was little, and Sam and the kids have never been, and it sounded WARM. That was pretty much my only…
Ah yes! I loved having a radio on hikes and other various events. Made me feel special and was really fun. I’ll have to remember that for when our kids get a bit older. Loved the video that Sam put together of the trip. Look forward to more story telling via video.
Where did you camp or stay down there? I’m thinking if a solo trip and have never been. Looks like a fun adventure. Found my way to your site via the Instagram feed trying to figure where/how/what you needed up in a trailer on the east coast! Funny the things I find at 3am with a dose of insomnia.
Hey Ryan! Thanks for the comment! When we went to Goblin Valley we stayed at the park run campground. We were in a tent (they have tent pads) but my parents had their tent trailer. Both fit just fine. The campground has shaded pavilions over all the tables which was great since there are very few trees. Super nice. As we drove around, we also noticed a lot of RV’s parked outside the campground along the base of the plateaus. No hookups, but if you are fine boondocking for a night or two you could stay there as well.
WE are still trying to figure out how we ended up in a trailer on the East Coast. 🙂 I’ve updated our About page so there’s more information there if you need another 3am distraction.
