California Jr. Ranger Program & Redwood EdVentures Quest

I was so skeptical. You have what? A Quest thing? What’s that? Oh – you have a SCHEDULE for your ranger programs? And to earn the badge they have to attend at a certain time? That’s lame. Only its not. At all. I’m now a believer. Coming from the National Park system which has all…

The Family Adventure Podcast

Some of our fellow travelers have been busy, and have put together the Family Adventure Podcast. They interview families that have spent significant time traveling with their kids. Many of their travelers have been boat families, sailing around the world for extended periods. They also include RV families, and aim to include all sorts of…

Wake-up Time

We’ve always kept a clock in the kids bedroom. When Rachel was little, we bought a digital clock and covered the minutes with a piece of black construction paper and some tape. We taught her what a ‘7’ looked like on the clock, and it became a rule that she couldn’t get out of bed…

  • I love looking at other people’s curriculum 🙂 Where do you get your test that you used? Our math does a lot of tests but my husband wants the boys to be able to do standard tests so they do not freak out if they go to collage. I have a lot of trouble finding out where to get them though!ReplyCancel

  • Okay, and also thanks for Story Starters! I just checked it out and it looks great!ReplyCancel

You are very organized! I have not found it easy to be organized with our road schooling. We have not purchased a curriculum though each girl has a grade appropriate multi-subject workbook. We end up doing a lot of online learning games mixed with library time, and of course field trips! I need to probably add a bit more structure though.ReplyCancel
