Back in Minneapolis for a Birthday Party

Travel Dates: July 31st – August 3rd. After a few weeks looping through upper Minnesota we had a decision to make. My brother was throwing his wife an incredibly large, super fun 30th birthday party on Friday the 31st. Throwing caution to the wind and managing a long driving day, we made it back to Minneapolis,…

  • […] We left Minneapolis, MN (again) and drove the long 4.5 hours to the Wisconsin Dells in one day. We decided it was worth the push to get there in one day – and get in late as we knew the RV Park at Mt. Olympus would not be very scenic. The kids had been looking forward to a water park here for at least a year, and since we could add it to the itinerary, we decided we should. […]ReplyCancel

4th of July 25 Mile Watermelon Bike Ride in Minneapolis, MN

The longest bike ride we’d done to date was 10 miles along the bike path between Medford & Ashland, OR. The kids and I dropped the truck off to get detailed and we needed to keep ourselves occupied all day. We rode 5 miles out and 5 miles back, stopping to play at parks along…

  • The next step for the Curren family should be a kids triathlon. ithe only caveat is that they should be strong swimmers. The distances are adjusted based on age. Lucy had to swim a couple of laps, ride a few miles and run about one mile. The older kids do more. My kids are swim team kids so that is not an issue but twenty five miles on a bike is probably more difficult. They do them all over the country and they are really fun. Great post.ReplyCancel

I think we’d try a triathlon if it weren’t for all the running and swimming! 😉 We’d have to get them in swim lessons first, I think. None of our kids have really had lessons and while they can “swim” I’m not sure how technically correct their form is.ReplyCancel

One of my favorite parts of traveling is meeting like-minded people and Minneapolis gave us a huge dose of this! Over a period of about…
