About Us

Welcome!

Hi there! We are the Curren Family. We traveled full time in our Airstream from 2013-2017 and now split our time between our small condo in Teton Valley, ID and the road.

As avid, outdoor, travel and adventure enthusiasts we are here to provide tips, advice, and inspiration to help you develop healthier and stronger family relationships.

Travel Schedule

We love to travel slow. There’s so much to see in the United States and traveling slow allows us to see more while also working and getting school done! As much as we’d love to race out the East Coast (Maine!) or the Midwest (Michigan!) or even back to the South (The Everglades!) it might be awhile.

June 2017: Driggs, Idaho
July 2017: Glacier National Park, MT; Waterton,Banff, Jasper, & Yoho National Parks, BC, Fernie, BC.
August 2017: Bend, OR; Northern California; Sun Valley, ID; Driggs, ID (Eclipse!)
September-December 2017: Oahu, Hawaii (teaching at BYU-H)
January – June 2017: Driggs, ID (ski winter! Finally!)
July- November 2018: New England & East Coast

  • We are in Central California an area as a kid growing up in Southern California was completely disregarded and thought of as the piece connecting North and South. But we have been here for 5 years now and love it. So much agriculture and so many lovely people it is worth a stop. Plus Clovis is the “gateway to the Sierra’s” and Yosemite is super close.
So if you wanna add Clovis/Fresno to your schedule you can come get a little crafting in as well as a home cooked meal. (not that your airstream doesn’t cook a good meal but this meal won’t be on wheels. :))ReplyCancel

Jennifer – We are definitely in!! Added that area to our map of starred places to visit. 😉 We’ll holler when we get closer. Can’t wait to see you!ReplyCancel

  • Sam?

Is this really you? Life is really funny. We left Northern California 2 1/2 years ago (which I think you may already know).

Instead of an Airstream we went with Sailboat and have now traveled from San Francisco to Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, the Panama Canal, then Providencia Columbia, Mexico (caribbean side), Texas (Family pit stop), and now are on the East coast of Florida preparing for a hop over the pond to the UK next year.

We have made some extensive road trips in an old station wagon, and I’d like to suggest a trip to Savannah, Georgia. Great place for photos and the nicest people we’ve ever met.

Also don’t leave out Austin, Texas for the music scene.

If I ever figure out how circles work then we can loosely keep in touch…

    Congratulations to your entire family.

I’m living my almost dream life here with my almost 14 year old son!

This area is a place that will stay with you for a lifetime after you experience yet.

Congrats on your adventures and all that you have decided to do, I’m very impressed!

I just came across your site. So, wonderful to see your family enjoying and embracing life together. I would love to set off with my family & travel the country. It has been a dream of mine for a very long time. We also homeschool our two children (5 & 8).

I also noticed in your travel schedule that you have Arkansas listed for 2016. I live in NW Arkansas with my family. I’m not sure if you have traveled here before but This is an AMAZING area to come to. It is truly beautiful. And we have some great places to visit while your are Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art Amazeum Friends of Bentonville Parks and Recreation Miles and miles of Biking trails http://www.nwatrails.org/trail/razorback-regional-greenway/ And you must try out Crepes Paulette Fantastic. Hope you enjoy the area. If I can answer any questions about the area please don’t hesitate to ask.ReplyCancel

Boy I wish we were 40 years younger. I would have loved to do this with my children. We did a lot of camping when our 4 were little but to actually “do it” never crossed our minds. I am jellyface faced!ReplyCancel

Love it that y’all are Airstreaming. We have a 2007 27ft Safari FB that we share with our Corgi McKenzie Rose and cat McNugget. Just sold house and will be in Arlene the Airstream for about 6 months. Going to UP Michigan in July for big Airstream rally at Escanaba. Hope to meet you when you get to NC.ReplyCancel
